• Understand the function of the human body organs & systems and the effects & side effects of anesthesia medications to the human body.
• To be able to evaluate the patient before anesthesia prosedure, prepare equipment and medication, monitorize and follow the patient under anesthesia during the operation.
• Perform safe anesthesia and analgesia in cases with adherent disease conditions and at operations needing special care.
• Conduct the postanesthesia period of the patient, check & evaluate the airway and safely transport the patient to the ward.
• To be able to manage special and emergency conditions in reanimation and provide the safe transport of the patient.

The number and dates of midterm exams are announced by the instructor to the students at the beginning of the academic year/semester. The instructors may hold quizzes, number or dates of which are not to be announced in advance. Exams may be oral, written or both. Faculties or Vocational Schools may decide to assign assignments, projects or researches in their councils. The students who fail in the final exams and those who do not take the exam may take the resit exams for each of the courses they fail at the end of the semester. Midterm and final exams may be written, oral or both. Success criteria for the final exams are valid for the resit exams; and the grade of the resit exam is evaluated as the final exam grade. Grades: Instructors evaluate each student enrolled in their courses according to the grades of quizzes, midterm and final exams, resit exams and other. In line with these evaluations, the instrucctor gives the students a semester grade (AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, DC, DD, FF, DZ). Repeating Courses: Students who have received an “FF” (Fail) or “ÇK” (Withdrawal) in any course or “BZ” for non-credited courses must repeat it in the first semester the course is offered again. If these courses are elective or are not in the programme any more, students will take the courses approved by the related councils instead of them.Repeating the Semester: The rules mentioned below are valid for all courses and all programmes with the exception of school of medicine and school of dentistry: •Students whose cumulative grade point is 2.00 and below at the end of the second year (fourth semester) are considered unsuccesful, and they cannot enrol in the upper grade. •Unsuccessful students need to retake the courses they failed (FF) until they raise their cumulative grade point to 2.00. •Students who raise their cumulative grade point to 2.00 after repeating the failed courses may enrol in the upper grade.Successful Students: Students who obtain a GPA of 3.00-3.49, at the end of semester with at least a normal semester course load are considered “Honor Studenst”, and those who obtain a GPA of 3.50-4.00 are considered “High Honor Students”. Students who obtain a Cum. GPA of 3.50-4.00 in the end of their programme are considered “High Honor Students of the University”, and take place in the honor list. This is also specified on their diplomas.The students studying in this program are required to have a Cumulative Grade Points Average (Cum.GPA) of not less than 2.00/4.00 and have completed all the courses with at least a letter grade of C3/2.00 in the program in order to graduate. The minimum number of ECTS credits required for graduation is 120. It is also mandatory for the students to complete their compulsory internship in a specified duration and quality.

Student admissions to this programme are conducted in the framework of the regulations set by the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK). Those graduates of regular high schools are admitted by their TYT type scores in a centralized national university placement examination (ÖSYS).

The graduates work as Anaesthesia Technician in public and private health institutions and organizations. Their employment fields are Surgeries and units under the Surgeries of public and private inpatient treatment institutions under the Health Ministry, and they work in line with the directives of the doctors.
