In the Coaching Education Department, advanced coaches and mentors, conditioners and masseurs are trained in sports branches that are increasing in number and variety.
The Coaching Education Department trains sports trainers who are in great need of our country in the field of sports. Department graduates work as trainers and assistant coaches in amateur and professional sports clubs, central and provincial organizations of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports, and schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. In addition, they can take part in teaching sports activities and organizations such as private sports halls and tourism sector. In this program, theoretical lessons and applications related to movement and training sciences, sports health sciences and psycho-social fields in sports are included.
In addition, with the training given in the department; Practices in line with the development of sports techniques and tactics for the selection and guidance of athletes who are qualified, researcher, productive, who are looking for solutions by knowing the problems of sports and athletes at all levels, to work in amateur and professional sports clubs and national teams in all branches of sports and human movements. experts who make use of the scientific theoretical foundations of sports in their application areas are trained.

Education and training are provided through formal, open, or distance learning. 

• In addition to possessing a sufficient level of general knowledge, they acquire national and international knowledge related to coaching education and gain the ability to interpret by establishing relationships between different disciplines.
• They possess the necessary technical and tactical knowledge, skills, and application capacity related to their specialized sports branch. They apply current teaching approaches, methods, and techniques, and know and effectively use the necessary equipment, materials, and technologies.
• They acquire knowledge of general training science principles, teaching processes, teaching models, methods, and techniques, and measurement and evaluation in order to design physical activity, exercise, and/or training programs, taking individual differences into account.
• Acquires the competence to observe social, scientific, and ethical values in the collection, interpretation, and dissemination of data in a multidisciplinary approach in the field of coaching education.
• Acquires the competence to prepare and implement scientific programs with sociological, psychological, and physiological knowledge to train athletes at all levels from childhood to adulthood.
• Learns to organize sporting events by collaborating with sports stakeholders to promote sports culture, healthy living, and physical activity in society, and leads these efforts through volunteer work.
• During coaching-related activities, they take into account human health, the social and natural environment; they assess health, safety, and risks and take the necessary precautions.
• They acquire the necessary knowledge about national and international legal regulations and practices related to the coaching profession.
• By acquiring proactive behavior skills, they gain the ability to make original decisions in solving all kinds of problems that may be encountered and gain the ability to use leadership skills by taking responsibility in such situations.
• They acquire the ability to express themselves and communicate effectively using written, verbal, and visual techniques with all stakeholders in sports and all segments of society.
• They will be able to effectively use terminology related to sports sciences and related fields and acquire a lifelong learning mindset.
• They will acquire a minimum level of proficiency in at least one foreign language, enabling them to follow and use basic-level literature in the field of sports sciences and coaching from foreign sources and communicate with foreign colleagues.
• As a coach, they set an example for society with their appearance, attitude, and behavior, as well as their cultural competence, acting in accordance with democracy and human rights, social and cultural values, and scientific and professional ethical principles.
• They acquire the basic competencies, awareness, knowledge, equipment, and skills to coach in the field of disabilities.
• They gain basic language, basic technology, and general cultural competence that will contribute to their career and entrepreneurship goals.

(1) Students are given a letter grade for each course at the end of the semester / year they are registered.
(2) This success letter grade is appreciated by the lecturer who teaches the course.
(3) In the assessment of the letter grade of success, the student's success in midterm exam, semester / year-end exam, mid-term studies and attendance to classes and practices are taken into consideration. The calculation of this letter grade is determined by the recommendation of the relevant academic unit board, the decision of the relevant board of the academic unit and the approval of the Senate.
(4) The student's success grade is determined over 100 full points. This score is called the raw success score.
(5) A student whose raw success score is below 25.00 fails from that course by getting a direct (FF) grade. The success grade of the student whose raw success score is 25.00 and above; The general condition of the class is evaluated with one of the letter grades whose coefficients and expansions are stated below, using one of the methods prepared by the decision of the University Education Commission and the approval of the Senate, taking into account the arithmetic averages and statistical distribution. After this evaluation, it is possible that the raw achievement scores of 25.00 and above have letter grade equivalents (FF).

(7) A student who gets one of the grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (DC) and (DD) from a course is considered successful. However, in order to graduate, the student's AGNO must be at least 2.00.

In order to monitor the quality of higher education programs;

• YOK is responsible for the planning, organization, management and supervision of education, training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.
• "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions, prepared every year within the framework of the criteria determined by YOK, are published. Reports prepared according to these reports, containing quantitative and qualitative evaluations for higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.
• Every year, YOK publishes the "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report", which includes academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YOK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is provided according to the "Procedures and Principles for Providing Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curriculum:

1.1. YOK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.2. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will bring to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YOK on these issues.

1.3. The curriculum of National Core Education Programs is implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of YOK after being accepted by the relevant Deans Council.

2. Measurement-Evaluation: How to measure and evaluate the learning outcomes that each undergraduate program will provide to the student is carried out in accordance with the education, training and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YOK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receives a bachelor's degree.

4. Self-Evaluation-External Evaluation: In the context of continuous monitoring, higher education institutions enter the "Institution Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Board (YOKAK) at the beginning of each year. The "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared by YOKAK regarding the external evaluation of higher education institutions is shared with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions made by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YOKAK also show that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. It carries out regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the YOKAK legislation.
