- Yüksek Lisans yeterliliklerine dayalı olarak, FDB alanındaki güncel ve ileri düzeydeki bilgileri özgün düşünce ve araştırmalarla uzman düzeyinde geliştirmek, derinleştirmek ve bilime yenilik getirecek özgün tanımlara ulaşma yeteneği kazanmasını sağlamak.
- Din bilimleri alanında yaptığı araştırmalarda sadece bilgi nakli, sentezi ve analizi yerine, alanıyla ilgili güncel bilgileri izleyerek, ülkemiz şartlarına göre yeniden kurgulayabilme yeteneğini kazanmak.
- Din bilimlerine yönelik alanlardaki konu, olay ve sorunları tanımlama, kurgulama, değerlendirme ve çözüm önerileri getirebilme yeteneği kazanmak.
- Din bilimlerine yönelik sorunlarda, disiplinler arası çalışma alışkanlığı kazanarak, kendi başına ilmi bir çalışma yapabilme yeteneğine sahip olmak.
- Her çeşit bireysel, toplumsal hatta küresel nitelikli, felsefi, sosyal, psikolojik ve dini içerikli sorunları, olayları ve düşünceleri, karşılaştırmalı olarak bilimsel düzeyde araştırıp, analiz ve sentez yaparak, rapor haline getirebilme becerisini elde etmek.
- Din bilimlerine ilişkin araştırmalarda ortaya çıkan sonuçları bireysel, toplumsal ve küresel ölçekte ele alıp, etkili bir şekilde kullanabilme yeteneği geliştirebilmelidir.
- Din bilimleri için gerekli olan dil becerilerini geliştirerek, yazılı ve sözlü iletişim kurabilme yetkinliğini elde etmek.
- Kendi çalıştığı alanda uzmanlaşarak, bu alanda çalışacaklara rehberlik edecek yetkinliğe sahip olmak.
- Din bilimlerine ilişkin yaptığı araştırmalarda, konunun seçiminden sonuçlandırılmasına kadarki geçen tüm aşamalarda etik kurallarına uyarak, bireysel ve toplumsal sorumluluk bilinci içinde hareket etme becerisine sahip olmak.
Bu programın sınavları yukarıda değinilen ilgili yönetmeliğin 23-24. maddelerine göre yapılır.
