- Öğretmenlik mesleği ve alanıyla ilgili pedagojik bilgiye sahip olur, çağdaş öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerini ve ölçme ve değerlendirme yöntemlerini bilir ve uygular.

- Fen-Teknoloji-Toplum-Çevre ilişkisini bilir ve mesleki ve günlük yaşamında kullanır.
- Disiplinler arası çalışmalar yürütebilecek ve dersini farklı disiplinlerle ilişkilendirebilecek düzeyde tarih, coğrafya, vatandaşlık, çevre, teknoloji, vb. gibi alanlarda genel kültüre sahip olur.
- Fizik, kimya ve biyoloji alanlarında öğrencilere yönelik uygun laboratuar deneyleri ve etkinlikleri geliştirebilecek ve uygulayabilecek becerilere sahip olur.
Bölümün anabilim dallarından mezun olanlar, akademik kariyerlerine devam edebilirken, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı´na bağlı devlet ve özel okullarda öğretmen olarak çalışabilmektedirler. Prospective teacher have the skill of using information and communication technology effectively for science and technology teaching. Prospective teacher know the developmental properties and learning patterns of students who are at the secondary education and plan, develop material and make executions according to these properties. Prospective teacher have enough knowledge about structure and the historical development of Turkish Educational SystemProspective teacher have skills of thinking scientific and analytic and will use knowledge generating, knowledge acquiring, scientific research methods and techniques and use it in classroom activities. Prospective teacher know the relation between social knowledge-society-environment, seek for society and environmental problems and use it in professional and daily life.
