It is a higher education program that covers an eight-semester program based on secondary education qualifications and provides training for a specific learning field or profession.

Education and training are carried out in the form of formal, open or distance education.
In addition, practical training is provided as internships or workplace training in laboratories and workshops within higher education institutions or in industry, healthcare institutions and workplaces.

• Have fundamental and up-to-date knowledge about science and technology and have the knowledge to evaluate accuracy, validity, and reliability of that knowledge.
• Have necessary pedagogical content knowledge about science and technology teaching.
• Know about the Turkish Educational System and its structure, aims, laws, regulations, and historical development in terms of the philosophy of science teaching in national and international levels.
• Know and acknowledge scientists who made significant contributions to science and technology, and the history of science, and understand the nature of science.
• Have scientific and analytical thinking about science and technology teaching and use scientific inquiry methods and techniques in his/her classroom practice.
• Have basic skills in science and technology and be able to transfer these into their daily lives.
• Develops solutions for evidence by solving and analyzing the problems related to the field of science.
• Selects, designs and implements the most appropriate teaching methods and techniques and measurement techniques by considering the developmental characteristics, individual differences and learning difficulties of students.
• Develops the teaching materials necessary for the permanent knowledge in science teaching and to be used in the problems encountered in daily life.
• Creates suitable learning environments for the development of students critical, constructive and creative thinking and problem solving skills.
• Gains the skills of using the laboratory in science lessons and uses the laboratory safely.
• Uses information and communication technologies effectively in science teaching.
• Communicates with colleagues in accordance with democratic and professional ethical values, shares their thoughts, cooperates and sets an example in conveying the values gained to students.
• By using information resources effectively, follows the current developments in the field of science and the activities in the field of science-art-culture and integrates its achievements with its lessons.

The conditions required for the degree to be earned are stated in Article 30 of Hacettepe University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations. Accordingly, the student who fulfills the following conditions is deemed to have completed his education and provided the necessary conditions for the degree. Requirements and rules are as follows;

a) To successfully complete all courses, applications and internships stipulated by the program in which they are registered, in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation.

b) To complete the total loan amount stipulated by the program.

c) To achieve a minimum overall academic average of 2.00.

d) Not being dismissed from the University for the reasons stated in the 29th article of this Regulation.

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

- YÖK is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and supervising education and training and other activities in higher education institutions.

- "University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published every year. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

- "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report" containing academic, administrative and financial data of foundation higher education institutions is published annually by CoHE. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula: YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.1. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to the student are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.2. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are adopted by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the teaching and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive a bachelor's diploma.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the "Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

In order to be accepted to the program, it is required to be a high school graduate and to have a score in the numerical score type of LYS.

Our graduates work as science teachers in private and foundation schools, especially in public schools affiliated to MEB. In addition, they also work in other educational institutions and training and consultancy companies.
