Öğrencilerin 4 yarıyılda derslerini başarıyla tamamladıktan sonra, tez çalışmasına başlamadan önce “Yeterlilik Sınavı”na girerek başarı göstermeleri gerekmektedir. Sınavlar ve ders başarı notları ile ilgili olarak Fırat Üniversitesi Lisansüstü Eğitim-Öğretim ve Sınav Yönetmeliğinin ilgili maddeleri uygulanır.Fizyoloji doktora derecesi elde edebilmek için öğrencilerin programda alması gereken ortak ve alan zorunlu derslerin tümünü başarı ile tamamlaması gerekmektedir. Derslerini başarı ile tamamlayan öğrenci, yeterlik sınavına alınır. Bu sınavdan da başarılı olması halinde tez önerisini jüri önünde sunar. Altı aylık sürelerle tezindeki ilerlemesini ve sonuçları tez izleme komisyonuna sunar. Seminer ve tez çalışması yerel kredi sistemine göre kredisiz olup başarılı veya başarısız olarak değerlendirilir. Students who successfully complete their courses are taken to the proficiency exam. If this examination is successful, the thesis proposal is presented in front of the jury. The seminar and thesis work is non-credit based on local credit system and is evaluated as successful or unsuccessful.
