Examines periods of Art History, examines the Contemporary Turkish Art, examines the Contemporary Art Movements. The student makes comments graphical based on from objects,deforms the objects in accordance structural of specifications(format reversal). The student makes on the camera settings ,makes the ASA / ISO settings,makes the aperture setting, makes the shutter setting, makes the focus,takes photos appropriate to the light,creates a photo of composition,makes the analysis of the pictures. The student examines the History of European Graphic Art, examines the Turks Graphic Art History. According to the principles of the design regulates the forms in the surface. Applications of three-dimensional original structure makes. The student draws imaginative composition,draws the animated animal figures,draws the animated human figures,places the figures in the spatial organization. The student makes template prints; makes high-pressure,hollow prints,silkscreen prints;In this prints applies a single color and multi-colored. Student makes arrangements of surface with point-line, regulates surfaces with a variety of colors and drawing techniques(collage) examining the light-shadow/ light-dark art literature, creates surface with texture comments and and study textured objects with gouache painting technigues, gain adequency the different techniques for coloring objects.The student performs the basic regulations in computer,makes drawing geometric forms in vector program,makes arrangements according to the design principles from geometric forms, makes the arrangements appropriate object relationship. Amblem/Logo creates, performs the work appropriate to sketch, sketch creates a computer environment, prepare a presentation file. Business Card / titled paper (Letterhead Group) creates, invitations / certificate of appreciation-creates, creates brochures,creates banners , creates a calendar, creates the label, creates a book cover, forms magazine / newsletter ,design newspaper page. The student makes perspective drawing of three escape dotted.The student draws a pattern from lifeless model, preparations composition, sizes composition with the black pen. The student follows agenda, follows the social agenda and the agenda of culture and art,follows the developments related to graphic design,follows publications related to the profession, follows advertising campaigns, follows graphic design tools and related technological developments. The student forms surface with typographical arrangements, creates the differences depending on a visual hierarchical of typographic elements. The student works images/video in the computer,sets size the pixel-based images,makes color adjustments of pixel-based images, cleans pixel-based images. The student prepares a single-page illustrations, portrays children s stories,makes illustration in computer, prepares advertising and storyboarding(story board). The student creates a sketch of packaging in the computer environment, creates a packaging model,creates arrangement on the three-dimensional packaging. To be able to evaluate basic knowledge and skills in the field with a critical approach, to be able to identify and meet learning needs. Be able to lead their study to an advanced level of education or to a profession at the same level. Learning to survive is not a conscious winner.To gain the ability to use the same level of theoretical and applied knowledge at the same level in an advanced education level or the same field in the field. To be able to interpret and evaluate data, to identify and analyze data, to develop evidence-based solution proposals using basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field. Further Info | A midterm and a final exam is given for each course carried out in the programs. The effect of Midterm exam (?) to success grade is 40 % and the effect exam of final exam is 60 % . Students must attend courses and fulfill attending requirements of the regulations in order to have final exams. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Relative evaluation system is applied for evaluating students success grade . In this evaluation, the course instructor takes in to consideration the statistical result of grades that students attending courses take from midterm, year in and year end exams and these results are converted to letter as system with four under the terms defined in the instruction. . If students WGPA consisting of grades which students take is under 2 in successive two terms, they can’t take any courses in the next term. If a student takes AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course, he/she can be accepted as successful. DC and DD grades taken from a course are evaluated in terms of depending on students granduation of WGPA. If a student’s WGPA is over success grade , these courses are defined as successful, but in midterm and year in or enr, this letter grades are evaluated with their coefficients in the calculation of WGPA. FF grade is given to students whofail the course in question. Student who takes FF grade must meet conditions dealing with attending and exam by taking this course in the first semester or year. Success grade of courses, referred to as M and G isn’t included in the calculation of WGPA. | |

Access Requirements | Students who graduate Vocational high-school are admitted to Ataturk University, Vocational School of Design Department of Graphic Design Program without exam but students who graduate other high-schools are admitted according to the result of examination which is performed by selection and Placement Center of higher-education and these students must get type 5-point sufficiently and they must have special requirements. Also , students are admitted to the programs through horizontal transfer. These transitions are regulated by an instruction students can make transition under the number and transition conditions which were pre-announced before and they can realize this procedure between diploma programs of different higher-education foundations or diploma programs within the same higher-education. | |
Conditions for Success | To finish the Graphic Design program successfully, passing all the lessons of the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS), getting 2.0 GPA out of 4.0 and finishing the training course successfully is needed. | |
