- Oral implantlar çevresinde oluşabilecek biyolojik komplikasyonları teşhis ve tedavi eder.
- Bir araştırmanın hipotezi ve amaçlarını tanımlayarak, kapsamlı bir literatür taraması ile birlikte bir araştırma projesi tasarlar ve gerçekleştirir.
- Bilgi tabanını güncelleyerek ve bilimsel-teknolojik gelişmeleri anında değerlendirerek bilimsel literatürü değerlendirme becerisine sahip olur.

- Must be proficent in analytical, problem solving, planning, communication, presentation, team building and leadership skills.
- To communicate effectively,interactively and reflectively with patients, their relatives and other health professionals.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of the basic sciences relevant to dentistry in general and to periodontology in particular.
- Must be able to evaluate the relevant clinical conditions and be able to design comprehensive treatment plan and provide appropriate treatment taking into consideration the individual patient needs and expectations.
- Be able to diagnose and develop a treatment plan for advanced multidisciplinary cases and be able to carry out the periodontal component of such treatments.
- Be able to carry out a wide range of surgical procedures.
- Be able to evaluate the results of the treatment and to carry out any further procedures required to maintain or improve the obtained treatment outcome.
- To be able to diagnose and treat any biological complication that may occur around oral implants.
- Design and carry out a research project, including a thorough literature review to define the hypothesis and objectives of the research.
- Be competent at critically evaluating the scientific literature, updating their knowledge base and evaluating scientific and technological developments as they arise.
- Be competent at managing and maintaining a safe working environment and working with other members of the periodontal team with regard to health and safety and clinical risk management.
