- Siyaset ve Sosyal Bilimler, Yönetim Bilimleri, Hukuk Bilimleri, Kentleşme ve Çevre Sorunları dallarında güncel akademik kaynaklar ışığında ileri kavramsal, kuramsal ve ampirik bilgilere ulaşmak ve kullanabilmek.
- Siyaset Bilimi ve Kamu Yönetimi’nin araştırma yöntemlerini kullanarak veri toplayabilmek, analiz yapabilmek, ve bilimsel değerlendirmede bulunabilmek.
- Kazandığı kuramsal bilgi ile analiz tekniklerini kullanarak ulusal ve uluslararası güncel gelişmeleri yorumlayabilme, siyasi ve toplumsal sorunlara çözüm önerileri üretebilme.
- Kamu ve özel hukuk mevzuatına hâkim, mevzuat değişikliklerini takip edebilmek, yorumlayabilmek ve uygulamaya aktarabilmek.
- Ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde siyaset, yönetim, hukuk, kentleşme ve çevre sorunları alanlarında ortaya çıkan teorik ve pratik yenilikleri takip edebilme.
- Siyaset, yönetim, hukuk, kentleşme ve çevre sorunları alanlarında çalışan kişi ve kurumları bilgilendirebilmek, düşüncelerini ve sorunlara ilişkin çözüm önerilerini nicel ve nitel verilerle destekleyerek, yazılı ve sözlü olarak aktarabilmek.
- B1 düzeyinde (“European Language Portfolio Global Scale”, Level B1) düzeyinde İngilizce dilini kullanarak disiplinle ilgili akademik gelişmeleri takip edebilmek ve meslektaşlarıyla iletişim kurabilmek.
- Diğer ilgili sosyal bilimler disiplinlerine ilişkin temel bilgilere sahip olmak ve bunlardan siyaset bilimi ve kamu yönetimi disiplininde yararlanabilmek.
- Mesleki ve bilimsel etik sorumluluk bilincine sahip olmak.
