| Further Info | Ph. D. program consists of compulsory and elective classes. The students are supposed to attend 70 % of the classes. For each class, there’s a midterm and final examination. The exams may be either verbal or written, or even as takehome. The grading is made over 100 points and a minimum of 75 points from the final is necessary for successful completion. A minimum of CB letter grade and 75 points in the term grade is also necessary for completion. If the participation is neglected, the students get Not Present (NP) and their average is recorded as FF. After the area specialization and seminary work classes are succesfully completed, students receive letter grade P (Pass) in their academic record.Students of the Ph. D. program in history are required to complete at least 8 compulsory and facultative classes, 2 seminary classes, specialization classes and thesis work by collecting a minimum of 180 or a maximum of 240 ECTS points. After the successful completion of the area specialization and seminary classes, the candidates can move onto the thesis process.
