- Tarih biliminin yararlandığı bilim dalları, yaklaşımları, sözlü, yazılı ve görsel kaynakları işlevsel hale getirip, tarih eserleri yazımı aşamalarını öğretir.
- Tarihsel olayların yaşanması ve değişiminde toplumların yapısı, coğrafi şartları ve olayların yaşandığı dönemlerin özellikleri eleştirel bir gözle incelenir.
- Disiplinler arası çalışmalardan da yararlanarak tarihsel ve toplumsal dönüşümü algılama.
- Eski, Orta, Yeni, Yakın ve Modern çağlarda vukuu bulan tarihsel olayların dünya tarihi açısından analiz edilerek, çalışmalara evrensel bir boyut kazandırma.

- Graduated students have adequate social, economic and political knowledge about their fields of study.
- Theoretical approaches in these areas are considered along with historical events.
- Oral, written and visual historical sources are made of fuctional by taking advantage from other social disciplines having contact with history. Changing of historical events, the structure of societies, the role of geographical conditions on historical transformations are handled in a critical way.
- Historical and social transformation are taken into account by using inter-disciplinary concepts.
- The historical events of Ancient, Middle and Modern Ages are analyzed in the framework of world history in order to provides a universal dimension for historical studies.understanding the ideas, reforms and Political events which occurred during the Republican Era.
- Taking administrative and social structures of the pre-Islamic and post- Islamic Turkish states together with their beliefs and ways of life in a comparative approach.
- Political, cultural, military and economic history of Ancient Anatolian tribes are examined together with their geography.
- Examination of the development process of the World and Turkish historiography.focusing on the historical value of every kind of biographies, historical works and edicts of reforms belonging to Ottoman state with all dimensions.
- Historical events such as Renaissance, the Reformation and the French Revolution are analyzed in terms of development process of the world history.
