• Participates in the programs, professional in-service training activities and other activities to update the knowledge, skills and competences related to the field with the awareness of lifelong learning and to develop oneself personally and professionally.
• Maintains effective communication with colleagues, patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals by observing professional and ethical values related to the field.
• Prepare preparations, apply disinfection and sterilization techniques before analysis.
• Has theoretical and practical skills in preparing solutions for the tests that will be done in the laboratory.act as an individual working in the field of medical laboratories, laws, regulations and legislation related to the duties, rights and responsibilities accordingly.
• Evaluates and implements the knowledge gained from basic theoretical and applied courses supported by textbooks, application tools and other resources with up-to-date information in the field.
• Uses the information and communication technologies together with the computer software required by the medical laboratory area.Uses the equipment in accordance with its rules and techniques, and controls and maintains it in the most efficient manner.
• Have knowledge and skills about taking, storing and transferring biological material from patient for medical laboratory tests.
• Takes security precautions in medical laboratories, implements personal safety rules and establishes a safe laboratory environment.
• Organizes work in medical laboratories and assumes individual responsibility when performing professional duties in the sense of responsibility of team work.
• Applies basic tests related to different areas of the medical laboratory and prepares analysis solutions.

Students are required to take at least one midterm and one final exam each semester. Apart from these, quizzes can be made without specifying the date. For each course taken by the students, one of the following letter grades is appreciated by the teaching staff as a semester grade note. The coefficients of the letter grades and their equivalents over 100 points are shown below. There is also an internship in the program.

The student who wants to register is obliged to complete the exams determined by OSYM within the academic and legal regulations of the university. A student who is studying in the equivalent program at home or abroad may apply for a transfer. Acceptance of students is examined at the beginning of the semester, taking into consideration the conditions of each student and the degree to which he / she has applied.

Medical Laboratory Technician Program graduates can work in universities and state hospitals, health centers, private clinics and analysis laboratories, research centers of other health institutions, public health institutes and food industry establishments, institutions and institutions conducting research and development studies in medicine and research centers.
