Examination, assessment and evaluation for courses in the Department of Tourism Guidance determined by.Aksaray University Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree Education and Examination Regulations are carried out in accordance with the rules and procedures. In order to receive bachelor’s degree in the field of Tourism Guidance, students are required to complete successfully all compulsory and elective courses (240 ECTS in total) in the program and students are required to have at least a 2,00 GPA on a 4,00 scale. In addition, in order to graduate from this department, students are required to do internship for 45 days in total in tourism businesses.

High school graduates who want to study in Turkish Universities should get enough points from University Entrance Exams. Placements are made by ÖSYM (Centre for Measurement, Selection and Placement ) with taking into consideration the preferences of the students. Students gaining the right to register at the Tourism Guidance Department of Aksaray University are required to register the documents announced on the website of the university and make their registration between the dates specified. In the admission of students from abroad, the criteria determined by ÖSYM and the quota allocated by the University are taken into consideration.

Students who graduated from the Department of Tourism Guidance by providing the necessary conditions; If they have completed at least 75 points from the YDS (Foreign Language Exam) and have completed a 36-day (national) or 6-day (regional) domestic application trip, they can apply to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as a result of having received a Professional Tourist Guidance ID Card in Turkish or will be able to guide tourism in written language (s). In addition to this, students may be employed in the middle or top level management positions in any of the tourism establishments, in particular tourism management training, travel and accommodation businesses, as well as tourism guidance education. The tourism sector has an employment potential based on private sector and the number of enterprises which are expressed as private sector is quite high. Therefore, the market demand for graduates is also quite high. Thus students will graduate on, gripping the tourism activities in Turkey which are required in the economy will contribute to eliminate the shortage of qualified personnel. The graduates of the department, who get enough points from the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS), can be employed as civil servants in other public institutions.
