  • To be able to gain advanced conceptual, theoretical and practical knowledge based on current issues and scientific resources in the discipline of International Relations (IR) and its sub-fields (International Relations, Political History, International Economic Integrations, International Law).
  • To be able to make use of the theoretical and practical knowledge gained in the discipline of International Relations (IR).To be able to examine concepts, facts and ideas using scientific methods; and to be able to interpret and evaluate data in the discipline of International Relations (IR).
  • To be able to identify and analyse major issues in the discipline of International Relations (IR).
  • To be able to take responsibility either individually or as part of a group to solve complex problems, which might be faced with, whilst theoretical analysis or implementation.
  • To be able to assess critically knowledge and skills gained in the discipline of International Relations (IR); to be able to determine learning requirements and to guide the learning process.
  • To be able to inform individuals and institutions in the discipline of International Relations (IR); and to be able to present her/his ideas and proposals both in writing and orally.
  • To be able to make use of English to pursue knowledge and scientific resources in the discipline of International Relations (IR).
  • To have necessary knowledge of computer software and hardware at the required level for International Relations (IR); to be able to make use of information and communication technologies.
  • To have social, scientific and ethical values during the data collection, interpretation, presentation and application stages in the discipline of International Relations (IR).
  • To have a belief in the importance and universality of social rights, to be conscious of social justice and the protection of environment and resources.
  • To be able to pursue and analyse national and international contemporary issues in the discipline of International Relations (IR).
  • To have the ability to create solutions based on critical and analytical thinking.
  • To be educated as intellectual, credible and creative individuals who contribute the development of our society and can take initiative.

Students are required to take at least one mid-term exam and one final exam in each semester. Quizzes can be given without prior notice. The criteria such as quizzes, mid-terms and final exams and assignments which are taken into consideration for evaluation and the ratio of the criteria are distributed through course syllabuses to the students in the beginning of each semester or announced on the website. Dates, places and times of final examinations are determined and declared to the students by the Institution. Final grades of the students are determined by the instructor of related course according to the assessment after considering mid-term and final examination results, term studies, and attendance of the student. If there are courses not requiring any mid-term or final exams, these courses are determined by the related Heads of Departments and informed to the Registrar’s Office. Semester studies of the students are taken into account for the final grades of these courses. Course grades for the end of term are submitted to the Registrar’s Office by the lecturer.Students must obtain a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully pass all courses on the programme (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS).

Conditions for SuccessStudents must obtain a grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully pass all courses on the programme (equivalent to a total of 240 ECTS).Graduation requirements are as described in the Qualification Requirements and Rules section. The requirement for graduation is to complete all of the courses in the programme (equivalent to 240 ECTS total) successfully and to have a CGPA of minimum 2.00 out of 4.00.

Our graduates are able to take up various jobs both in the private and the public sector. They also can undertake academic careers by pursuing postgraduate degrees.
