- Küreselleşme ile bağlantılı olarak hızla değişen ve dönüşen toplumsal gerçeklikleri anlamak, çözümlemek ve yön verebilmek, uygulama ile mümkündür.
- Bu amaçla sosyal sorunlara yönelik ve uygulamanın teori ile eşdeğer yürütüldüğü bir program önerilmektedir.
- Sosyal sorun ve durumlar için yapılan tespitler, uygulamada sahada gerçekleştirilen anketler, gözlemler ve diğer niteliksel ve niceliksel bilimsel bilgi toplama yöntemleriyle iç içedir.
- Programda sosyal sorunların, uygulamada farklı yöntemlerle bilimsel ortamda sosyolojik açıklamasının yapılması ve çözüm politikalarının üretilmesi amaçlanır.
- Üniversitemiz, bir yandan ulusal ve uluslararası araştırma, proje ve yayınlarıyla bilime katkısını sürdürürken, aynı zamanda bilişim teknolojisinin sağladığı imkânlardan yararlanarak ülkenin ihtiyaç duyduğu nitelikli insan idealini oluşturmak ve geliştirmek, uluslararası seviyede bilim ve teknolojiyi izlemek, anlamlandırmak, yorumlamak, uygulamalarını sınamak ve topluma katkı sağlamak amacıyla öğretim programlarını güncellemekte ve kendini sürekli olarak yenilemektedir.

For this purpose, a program for social problems and the equivalent of theory is proposed. The determinations made for social problems and situations are intertwined with surveys, observations and other qualitative and quantitative methods of scientific knowledge in the field. In the program, it is aimed to make sociological explanations of social problems in scientific environment with different methods and to produce solution policies. Creating and developing the qualified human sources that the country needs by utilizing the opportunities provided by information technology, monitoring, interpreting, interpreting its applications and contributing to the society in order to update the curriculum and renew itself continuously. Applied Sociology Master Program is structured according to the mission of our institution. | |

| Conditions for Success | The masters program with thesis consists of 24 credits and at least eight courses, one seminar course and a thesis study. The seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. Masters program with thesis consists of a total of 130 ECTS credits, including at least nine courses and thesis work, including seminar courses, not less than 60 ECTS credits. The Masters program without thesis consists of a total of 30 credits and a minimum of 10 courses and a term project course of not less than 90 ECTS. Students are required to register for this course in the semester in which the term project is taken and to submit a written project and / or report at the end of the semester.
