Education and training is carried out in the form of formal. In addition, practical training is carried out in laboratories and workshops within higher education institutions or in industry, health institutions and workplaces as internships or workplace training.

1) Makes the necessary assessment, definition and planning for physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications by using the theoretical and applied concepts and principles related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

1) Carries out professional and academic studies independently by using his knowledge; works as a team member and assumes responsibility in effective communication and cooperation with other professional groups working in this field.

Learning Competence

1) It adopts the principle of personal development, information literacy and lifelong learning; contributes to quality improvement, training and promotion programs related to the field, and demonstrates its professional behavior at an international level.

Field Specific Competence

1) Takes initiatives to protect and improve public health and welfare; contributes to the production of health strategies and policies suitable for the changing and diversifying needs of the society in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

2) Organizes physiotherapy and rehabilitation services effectively and adequately, manages the business processes necessary for the continuity and development of the quality and organizational function; generates solutions against problems in line with knowledge and evidence.

3) Keeps records and prepares reports for quality service and research in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation; adopts ethical, deontological principles and legal framework in collecting, recording and reporting data.

Competence to Work Independently and Take Responsibility

1) Implements the physiotherapy and rehabilitation program systematically and safely within the framework of ethical principles in the light of professional attitudes and skills; terminates or changes as necessary.

The measurement and evaluation methods used for each course are updated by the relevant faculty member at the beginning of each semester in the ISU Syllabus program. Regarding course grades, Article 29 of Istinye University Associate and Undergraduate Education Regulations, which was published in the Official Gazette on 16.08.2020, is applied.

ARTICLE 29 - (1) Success in a course is determined by the course grade. The course success grade is obtained by evaluating the student's success in all exams, homework, projects, applications and similar studies whose weights and conditions are announced by the relevant instructor via automation at the beginning of the semester / year. The effect of the semester / year-end exam on the course success grade is applied to be at least 30% and at most 70%, and other issues regarding the success grade can be determined by the relevant unit board. In applied courses where only the semester/term final exam is held and in single course exams, the contribution of the semester/term final exam to the success grade is 100%.

To oversee the quality of higher education programs;

YÖK is responsible for the planning, organization, management and supervision of education and training and other activities carried out in higher education institutions.

"University Monitoring and Evaluation Reports" of higher education institutions prepared annually within the framework of the criteria determined by YÖK are published. The reports prepared according to these reports, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK.

Every year, YÖK publishes the "Foundation Higher Education Institutions Report", which includes academic, administrative and financial data on foundation higher education institutions. These reports, which include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of foundation higher education institutions, are shared with the public by YÖK. Quality assurance of undergraduate programs in higher education is ensured according to the "Procedures and Principles for Ensuring Quality Assurance of Higher Education Diploma Programs":

1. Creation and Approval of Curricula:

1.1. YÖK determines the minimum standards and criteria required for the opening of undergraduate departments and programs in higher education institutions.

1.2. The curriculum of undergraduate programs in higher education institutions and the learning outcomes that each program will provide to students are determined by the senates of higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

1.3. The curricula of the National Core Curricula are adopted by the relevant Council of Deans and implemented by higher education institutions with the approval of the Council of Higher Education.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: The measurement and evaluation of the learning outcomes of each undergraduate program is carried out according to the education, training and examination regulations prepared by higher education institutions in accordance with the basic principles determined by YÖK on these issues.

3. Certification: Students enrolled in undergraduate programs, if they successfully complete the course credits and other obligations determined by higher education institutions; receive an undergraduate diploma.

4. Self-Assessment-External Evaluation: Higher education institutions, in the context of continuous monitoring, enter the "Institutional Internal Evaluation Reports" of the previous year into the Information System prepared by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) at the beginning of each year. YÖKAK shares the "Institutional Feedback Report" prepared for the external evaluation of higher education institutions with the public. In addition, accreditation decisions issued by accreditation bodies authorized or recognized by YÖKAK also indicate that the quality assurance of the qualifications of the programs is ensured. YÖKAK conducts regular review activities regarding the qualifications determined in accordance with the legislation.

In order to gain access to the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, you have to have completed an upper secondary education or have an equivalent education abroad, and you must have enough points in the relevant field in the national university examination.

Physiotherapists who graduate from this program can pursue their careers as healthcare professionals and, if they wish, can do a higher level of academic work.
